B & D print services has been trading for over 30 years. Housed in its purpose built site are the very latest in Litho, digital and mailing technology, with investment during 2009 in excess of 1.5 million GBP. The organisation is recognised as a solution provider that strives for continuous improvement across the business process. Over the years it has forged strong alliances with like minded businesses across the media industry (all its suppliers are accredited to its own high standard and regularly audited) giving it access to the very best services available. The company offers the latest in online ordering and remote proofing and operates in a fully transparent manner. Real-time online access to job progress is available as is artwork submission through a secure web portal. Monthly performance meetings are held with performance measured against benchmarked KPIs to ensure continuous improvement. B&D's business process is JDF compliant using Tharstern MIS and Kodak prinergy this gives guaranteed file integrity, and a full auditable history of all actions taken. The organisation is BSI 9001/2008 accredited (continuously for fifteen years) and is one of only a select few to be accredited for design. Is a certified FSC supplier and is 14001: 2004 accredited. B&D is a member of the BPIF and has won national awards for training; the company is the preferred supplier of Lancashire County Council and The carbon Trust.

What do you do at B&D? Generate Sales leads from existing & new customers & I also promote B&D through strategic marketing.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Aerobics, drinking champagne & cocktails, shopping, socialising & spending time with my lovely family.

Andrew Dawson - Design Manager
What do you do at B&D? Manage our team of great designers & make sure customers have all the information they need about artwork etc.

Michael Rawcliffe - Sales Manager
What do you do at B&D? Mainly estimating, but also MIS Administration & general IT support guy!
How long have you been at B&D? I started when I was about 14 doing various print finishing jobs, but was employed full time 6 years ago.

What do you do at B&D? Sales - I try & get the word out to the masses! Hopefully help B&D raise it's profile across the North West as a quality printer with a comprehensive range of business solutions.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I coach & play inline hockey - it's like ice hockey but on inline skates. I enjoy watching football, ice hockey (NHL) & love listening to music.
